Are you passionate about laboratory digitalization and about connecting scientific

processes with modern technology? Do you enjoy shaping laboratory workflows,

implementing digital solutions, and working closely with scientists, laboratory

personnel, IT experts, and external partners?

We are looking for a Scientific Application Specialist 80- 100 % to support and further develop our laboratory informatics landscape, with a strong focus.

Your responsibilities

* Configure, implement, and optimize laboratory workflows in LIMS

* Collaborate with laboratory stakeholders to translate business requirements

into digital solutions

* Connect laboratory instruments to and support data exchange between

systems

* Coordinate and troubleshoot instrument interfaces, file transfers, network

connectivity, and automated data flows

* Support laboratory digitalization projects from concept through implementation

* Create user documentation, training materials, and system guidelines

* Deliver end-user training and provide ongoing support to laboratory personnel

* Participate in system testing, validation, and continuous improvement

activities

* Act as a key contact between laboratories, IT teams, software providers, and

external partners

Qualifikationen

What makes you successful

* Degree in Natural Sciences, Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology, Food

Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field

* Strong laboratory background and sound understanding of laboratory

workflows and processes

* Experience with laboratory software such as LIMS, ELN, CDS, SDMS, or

similar systems

* Good understanding of instrument connectivity, network communication, file

exchange protocols, and data integration concepts

* Basic programming or scripting knowledge (e.g., SQL, XML, Python, APIs, or

similar technologies)

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

* Ability to explain technical topics to non-technical users

* Fluent in English; German is an advantage
