Case Manager: Integration Youth (80-100%) in Burgdorf

You want to contribute? We give you room to manoeuvre. You think ahead? We support you in doing so. Together we shape the future for our clients! Interested? We look forward to hearing from you!

The IV Office of the Canton of Bern is undergoing change and is focusing on a modern corporate and leadership culture. We want to align our actions more closely with the needs of our clients and advance digitalisation. To successfully implement this development, we are creating new positions and looking for committed employees who actively shape the change.

What you can achieve with us

* You take independent responsibility for advising and supporting the integration of young people from registration to the completion of the integration process.

* You carefully analyse the initial situation and involve relevant specialists and institutions in case management, ensuring the flow of information.

* You assign integration-effective measures and use your scope for action purposefully.

* You plan, coordinate and manage cooperation with external partners such as teachers, employers, institutions, coaches, medical professionals, and authorities.

* You support adolescents and young adults in the transition from school to vocational training as well as entry into the working world or retention of their workplace. In doing so, you initiate appropriate integration measures, apply targeted support instruments and coordinate their implementation.

* You are a contact person and trusted advisor for young people, parents and involved parties - always empathetic and solution-oriented - actively promoting inter-institutional cooperation and influencing successful integration processes.

Which skills are important to us

* You have a tertiary qualification in social work, psychology or a related field (e.g. HR, coaching, case management).

* You bring at least 3 years of professional experience in integration or counselling or, as a career changer, at least 5 years of leadership experience in related fields.

* You are familiar with the education and school system in Switzerland, have a good sense for complex family situations and bring appropriate sensitivity.

* You are strong in coordination, enjoy networking and think solution-oriented, appreciating both independent work and team exchange.

* You enjoy working with young people and present yourself empathetically, clearly and convincingly, able to advise and coach in a solution-oriented manner.

* You handle administrative tasks related to case management efficiently and in a structured way, valuing both independent work and team exchange.

* We are a bilingual (German-French) company, so good knowledge of the other language is an advantage.

What we offer you

* Working hours

Annual working time (42 hours/week), possibility to work part-time as well as remotely, paid breaks

* Holidays

At least 25 days of holiday per year, 28 days from age 45 and 33 days from age 55. Possibility of unpaid leave

* Salary

Cantonal salary system, gender-neutral and transparent salary policy. Full salary during parental leave, military, civil protection and civilian service

* Social insurance

Above-average contribution to the Bernese pension fund, coverage of half the premium for non-occupational accident, supplementary accident and daily sickness allowance insurance

* Training and further education

Financial and/or time contribution to training and further education projects

* Health

Ergonomically equipped workplaces, free fruit, discounted meals in the in-house restaurant, rest room, in-house massage options, participation in fitness activities and loan bicycles

* Private life, family and work

16 weeks maternity leave, two weeks paternity leave, generous above-statutory family allowances

Does this suit you? Then get to know us! We look forward to your application.
