## Your tasks ##
* Operate and develop the ADvanced DiffrAction for Material Science (ADDAMS) beamline at the SLS 2.0, with a focus on total scattering and/or profile analysis methods
* Develop and sustain an independent scientific research program based on advanced X-ray scattering techniques, both experimentally and in data analysis
* Conceive, plan and execute synchrotron experiments, also in collaboration with users, including the necessary technical developments
* Support and expand the user program of the ADDAMS beamline in collaboration with both academic institutions and industrial partners
* Publication and dissemination of scientific results
* Supervision of postdoctoral researchers and doctoral students
## Your profile ##
* PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics or a related field
* Broad scientific research experience with diffraction methods and a strong related publication record
* Extensive experience in conducting experiments at large-scale research facilities
* Dynamic personality with broad scientific curiosity and the ability to drive research and infrastructure projects forward
* Software development skills are an advantage
* Fluency in written and spoken English and willingness to learn German over time
