Job description

You will join a specialised medico-social establishment whose mission is to welcome elderly blind or visually impaired people, in an environment that promotes autonomy, independence and quality of life.

You will work in a pleasant environment, within a professional, creative, friendly and committed team, with strong human values and a spirit of collaboration.

Your main duties

* Provide personalised and comprehensive nursing care autonomously and/or under medical delegation

* Ensure precise and rigorous communication of information between teams and to doctors

* Collaborate in the supervision and clinical teaching of new nursing staff and students

* Actively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of care quality

* Participate in specific care related to visual impairment

Profile sought

Essential criteria

* Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent nursing diploma recognised by the Red Cross

* Proven experience in geriatrics, end-of-life support and with people presenting cognitive disorders

* Excellent command of the French language, spoken and written

Specific training and knowledge

* Ability to manage priorities, take initiative and work within a multidisciplinary team

* Mastery of technical care and excellent interpersonal skills

* Organisational skills, professional rigour and appropriate professional attitude

* Empathy, team spirit, mutual support and collaboration

* Knowledge of PLEX and/or PLAISIR assessment (an asset)

Particularities / Specificities

* Natural unifier, ability to support the team, value potential and give clear directives to auxiliary staff and trainees

* Aptitude to work in an interdisciplinary team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

* Sensitivity to specific care related to visual impairment

* Proficiency in common IT tools, notably SIEMS (an asset)

* Active participation in the development of new projects

* Willingness to work irregular hours (weekends and public holidays)
