Cost Manager (MEP) - Data Centre

Turner & Townsend is looking for an MEP Cost Manager to support the delivery of a major Data Centre project in Qatar.

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for pre and post-contract cost management duties for MEP packages, including cost estimating, cost planning, procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, change management, and final account settlement.

Prepare and manage detailed MEP cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans throughout all project stages.

Review and collaborate with design teams to ensure MEP designs are commercially viable and aligned with project budget objectives.

Manage the procurement process for MEP works, including preparation of tender documentation, tender analysis, bid evaluation, and contract recommendations.

Provide robust cost control, financial reporting, forecasting, and commercial advice throughout the delivery of the Data Centre project.

Assess and manage variations, claims, and change requests, ensuring accurate valuation and cost impact assessment.

BSc degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

5-15 years’ post graduate experience

Experience managing MEP costs on large-scale building, mission-critical, or Data Centre projects

Professional membership is an advantage i.e. MRICS

Experienced user of MS Office, advanced MS Excel user
