NDT INSPECTOR LEADER

You will perform nondestructive testing and analysis on mechanical components and structural assemblies related to Naval surface ships and submarines.

You will arrange for correction of deficiencies and re-inspection of repaired items and recommend remedies for particular problems.

You will participate in audits and submit reports and recommendations.

You will control production work, assuring materials, processes and fabrication techniques meet specification and contractual obligations.

You will acquire and record test results and data using enhanced signal processing and acquisition software on state-of-the-art computer-based platforms.

You will perform calibration and safety checks of test equipment prior to and after performance of nondestructive testing inspections.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
