Responsible for organizing all testing activities across day-to-day support and project delivery, defining test approach and coverage, coordinating QA work across agile/scrum ceremonies, validating Salesforce configuration and custom development, ensuring regression readiness, and driving quality practices that improve release confidence, production stability, and user outcomes.

Platform scope: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Financial Services Cloud where applicable, Data Cloud integrations, Salesforce platform configuration, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, APIs, integration touchpoints, test data, automation frameworks, CI/CD validation, and connected enterprise systems.

What you will do

Lead and coordinate all QA activities for a Salesforce pod that includes developers, QA analysts, business analysts, and configuration admins, ensuring testing work is organized, estimated, sequenced, reviewed, and completed within agile/scrum delivery cycles.

Define and maintain the Salesforce QA strategy for Sales, Service, and Configuration workstreams, including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing support, data validation, smoke testing, and release readiness validation.

Partner with product owners, scrum masters, analysts, technical leads, and developers to refine user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, test data needs, dependencies, and definition of done expectations before sprint commitment.

Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, traceability, regression suites, and quality metrics for both project delivery and day-to-day enhancement and support work.

Lead QA planning and execution across agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, defect triage, sprint reviews, retrospectives, release planning, and post-release validation.

Coordinate with developers and configuration admins to validate Salesforce configuration, automation, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, APIs, security, integrations, reporting, and user experience changes against business and technical requirements.

Direct end-to-end testing across Salesforce and connected enterprise systems, including API, middleware, data synchronization, event-driven, batch, contact center, document management, identity, reporting, and downstream integration scenarios where applicable.

Establish and maintain regression testing practices that support reliable Salesforce releases, including core business process coverage, high-risk process coverage, automation candidates, release impact analysis, and reusable test assets.

Lead defect management activities, including defect logging, prioritization, triage, root cause analysis, retest coordination, closure validation, trend analysis, and communication of quality risks and release impacts.

Define and monitor quality metrics such as test coverage, defect leakage, escaped defects, regression pass rate, automation coverage, test execution progress, test data readiness, and release quality indicators.

Partner with release management and DevOps teams to support CI/CD validation, deployment verification, smoke testing, change control, rollback planning, environment readiness, and release signoff activities.

Coordinate test data management for Salesforce initiatives, including data setup, masking or privacy considerations, migration validation, reconciliation, data quality checks, and repeatable test data preparation.

Support compliance, privacy, security, accessibility, and auditability expectations by ensuring test coverage includes role-based access, field-level security, sharing, least-privilege access, data protection, reporting accuracy, and regulatory considerations.

Lead production validation and support root cause analysis for quality-related incidents, defects, integration failures, data issues, access issues, automation errors, regression gaps, and user-reported Salesforce issues.

Coach and mentor QA team members, analysts, developers, and configuration admins on quality practices, test case design, acceptance criteria, test automation opportunities, defect quality, risk-based testing, and agile QA discipline.

Maintain and improve QA documentation, including test strategy, test plans, test cases, automation notes, traceability, release validation checklists, defect reports, QA standards, and support handoff materials.

Continuously assess Salesforce platform releases, AppExchange changes, testing tools, automation frameworks, and QA practices to recommend improvements that increase test reliability, reduce manual effort, and improve delivery velocity.
