Clinical Psychologist (Pediatrics)

Perform as a Clinical Child Psychologist.

Execute a full range of clinical psychological diagnostic, strategies, procedures, and intervention services

Service a full range of clinical diagnostic and treatment services to eligible children from birth to 21 years of age.

Document evaluations, treatment sessions, quarterly summaries, and closing summaries in the medical record.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with developmental pediatrician and primary care providers.

Provide consultation and guidance concerning the psychological development of children and adolescents.

Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist (Pediatrics) Position: Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes treating pediatric or adolescent population: conducting psycho diagnostic assessments; developing treatment plans; and providing individual or group therapy.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Licensure: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.
