RESEARCH PSYCHOLOGIST

You will carry out research that contributes to the general knowledge in the fields of Industrial/Organizational Psychology, particularly assessment development and validation, training/programmatic evaluation, and work motivation.

You will develop programmatic plans for multi-year projects to conduct basic research, applied research, and/or device test and evaluation.

You will serve as a Principal/Associate Investigator, carrying out your own research and reporting the findings to the Warfighter Performance Department, project sponsors, and other organizations within the U.S. Navy and the scientific community.

You will serve as Project Leader, providing technical direction to other researchers, technicians, and military personnel.

You will collaborate with or oversee the work of others in the department.

To qualify for the GS-14 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Directing independent research programs Designing and analyzing psychological experiments Evaluating and assessing research data Preparing written products that provide and explain scientific information Giving technical direction to research assistants carrying out research To qualify for the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
