Serves as a primary Phase 2 clinical director for the 68D Operating Room Specialist Program.

Responsible for independent planning, designing, and carrying out the program, projects, and studies in accordance with governing regulations and policies

Oversee student’s onboarding, in-processing, and academic progress monitoring.

Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.

Participate in in-service refresher training sessions to learn the latest procedures, processes, and practices in the OR and central materiel service as the course curriculum.

POI evolves that will enable the incumbent to apply the best design and most effective instruction to students.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes coordinating medical simulation training activities; preparing medical training instructions materials, aids; or the setup of manikins, moulages or other simulator equipment for various medical simulation training exercises.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: healthcare, emergency medicine, or education.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
