The posting

At Netflix , our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology.

Come be a part of what’s next. Netflix ’s Infrastructure Engineering organization provides the backbone that powers Netflix 's global scale and operations across business verticals.

Within this organization, Data, AI & Experimentation Platforms accelerate product velocity and business impact by providing cohesive, reliable foundations for data, analytics, machine learning, and experimentation.

We reduce friction across the insight-to-production loop so teams can move from questions to decisions and from prototypes to shipped features quickly, with confidence, and with measurable outcomes.

We enable teams to build and scale ML-powered products end-to-end with AI platform capabilities for training, model management, evaluation, observability, developer tooling, and production inference.

Our experimentation platform makes it easy to design, launch, monitor, and interpret experiments so teams can iterate faster and validate impact with statistical rigor and accountability.

Our data and analytics foundations make information usable and trustworthy: streamlined data movement (ingestion, streaming, processing), standardized online data stores for real-time serving, and analytics experiences that accelerate discovery while enforcing consistent metrics, quality, lineage, ownership, and access controls.

Ultimately, we make data- and AI-driven product development faster, safer, and more dependable at scale so teams can focus on building great experiences that entertain the world. The Opportunity We are seeking a highly technical Product Manager to lead Data Developer & Analytics Experiences within the Analytics Platform & Experiences team.

Your primary mission is to deliver a unified, AI-native experience that spans how practitioners build data assets and how the broader organization consumes them.

On the Data Developer side, you will own the practitioner "inner loop"; SQL and Python-first code authoring in AI-native IDEs (Cursor, Claude Code, JupyterLab), Python libraries, lifecycle and CLI tooling, and data quality tooling.

On the Analytics experience side, you will also own the path from governed metrics to insight, including the Semantic Layer, visualization, and data application ecosystem, ensuring metrics are defined once and reliably reused everywhere.

Analytics engineers, data engineers, and data scientists will be your primary customers, while enabling business decision makers and insight builders to self-serve on governed, reusable metrics across tools.

Partnering closely with engineering, design, and data leaders, you will shape product direction and deliver impactful capabilities across semantic modeling, developer productivity, and embedded GenAI. In this role, you will shape the future of Analytics and Data Developer Experiences at Netflix by leading a high-impact product portfolio.

You will operate with significant autonomy to set strategic direction, define multi-year roadmaps, and make high-leverage tradeoffs across semantic modeling, interactive performance, governance, developer productivity, and AI integration. What makes this role exciting is the blend of strategic vision and hands-on leadership.

You'll maintain a broad portfolio view while selectively diving deep where your expertise makes the biggest difference. Your success will be measured by enabling Netflix 's growth, innovation, and competitive advantage, while delighting users with exceptional experiences that empower teams to work more efficiently and with greater satisfaction.

What You Will Do As the Product Manager forAnalytics Experiences, you will have the following responsibilities:

Set Direction: Develop a compelling long-term vision and strategy for your portfolio, aligning user needs with business objectives and industry trends for the Analytics Experiences.

Champion Users: Build deep user understanding and empathy through regular engagement, research, and feedback loops to identify pain points and opportunities.

Manage Roadmap: Develop and prioritize initiatives across the portfolio, from IDE-centric inner-loop productivity to centralize Semantic layer and conversational analytics, balancing immediate needs with strategic evolution.

Guide Development: Partner with design and engineering to define requirements, create intuitive interfaces, and validate solutions that ensure cohesive user journeys across the platform ecosystem.

Support Architecture: Partner with engineering on critical architecture decisions that ensure platform sustainability, scalability, and flexibility while strategically managing technical debt.

Drive Adoption: Create effective rollout strategies and promote new capabilities through targeted communication, education, and roadshows, while providing comprehensive documentation, learning resources, and self-service tools that accelerate adoption and reduce support burden.

Drive Improvement: Define success metrics centered on user delight and productivity gains, and implement tracking to continuously improve platform capabilities through data-informed experiments.

Establish Governance: Develop platform standards and processes that balance flexibility with standardization and innovation with stability to maintain quality and consistency, including API design guidelines, versioning policies, and deprecation protocols.

Align Stakeholders: Build strategic relationships and foster cross-functional collaboration to drive alignment and create shared ownership of outcomes.

What We’re Looking For We value candidates who can balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, technical depth with user empathy, and decisive leadership with collaborative partnership. This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, can navigate complex technical and organizational landscapes, and ultimately delivers significant impact for your users and Netflix as a whole. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes and experiences: Technical Excellence

Expertise: 8+ years of Technical Product Management experience (or equivalent technical role) in complex technical domains. Comfortable discussing technical design trade-offs and system quality attributes with engineering teams.

Domain Knowledge: Strong knowledge of modern analytics architectures and data developer tooling — including dbt based transformation workflows, a governed Semantic Layer, and performant query and visualization experiences (e.g., Tableau, Preset, Posit Connect); plus deep familiarity with the practitioner stack: IDEs and notebooks (Cursor, JupyterLab, VS Code), Python/SQL developer tooling, interactive compute environments, and data quality/observability frameworks.

Curiosity: Demonstrated passion for Analytics with a pulse on emerging trends. Actively seeks new perspectives and brings fresh thinking to technical challenges. Regularly uses products and observes customers to identify improvement opportunities.
