In this role you will

Drive the Roadmap: You have a unique opportunity to craft and own a multi-year product strategy and roadmap that inspires your team and pushes boundaries.

Product Lifecycle: You will own the successful execution of the product across its lifecycle.

Product Strategy: Develop a deep understanding of the customer, market, and business objectives to find new opportunities and align your product domain to company goals - and then translate that into clear direction for your technical peers.

Product Management: Own the product backlog, clearly set priorities, write user stories, drive incremental improvements.

Drive Results: Ruthlessly prioritize features and ensure priorities are clearly communicated at all times.

Infrastructure Development: Build the backend systems required to surface the high-quality signals our systems rely on to make minute-by-minute decisions from the massive amounts of data generated by our fleet every day.

Algorithm Development: Partner deeply with Data Science leads to develop complex algorithmic models that power Zoox’s autonomous vehicle service - ensuring we maintain a high-quality customer experience while maximizing operational efficiency.

Prioritize Learning: Architect rapid learning and iteration through both simulation and in-market experimentation to test hypotheses quickly and effectively.

Qualifications

Technical Product Leadership: 8+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, specifically within AI/ML model development, data science, or marketplace-based products.

Domain Expertise: Deep familiarity with data science, online marketplaces, machine learning, and backend infrastructure.

Data Fluency: Comfortable engaging with engineers on data pipelines, statistical analysis, simulation, experimentation, and performance evaluation (metrics/KPIs).

Strategic Execution: Proven track record of managing complex technical technical products with direct customer-facing impact.

Bias for Action: A track record of navigating complex tradeoffs in a structured way while taking action and delivering on tight timelines.

User Centric Mindset: A customer-first approach and a passion for building products that directly serve and benefit our end users (while also supporting a thriving commercial business)

Bonus Qualifications

Autonomous Vehicles: Experience working in the AV, mobility, or ride-hailing industries.

In-market Experience: Experience optimizing products in the market (with a focus on experimentation).
