About the role
We are now opening a new frontier: China . To lead this expansion from a product standpoint, we're looking for a Senior Product Manager who combines strong product fundamentals with deep, lived fluency in the Chinese digital ecosystem — someone who can act as our internal bridge between Fever's global product organization (based in Madrid) and the realities, expectations, and behaviors of Chinese users and partners.
This role is based in Madrid , working shoulder to shoulder with our core Product, Engineering, and Design teams, while owning the product decisions that will shape how Fever enters and grows in the Chinese market.
Own the product vision and roadmap for Fever's China market entry, translating market realities into a clear, prioritized product strategy.
Understand our business, our customers, the Chinese live-entertainment and ticketing market, and the data behind our product, to shape a proposition that genuinely resonates with local users.
Act as the connective tissue between Fever's Madrid-based product, engineering, and design teams and the specific needs of the Chinese market, translating not just language but context, user expectations, and behavioral norms.
Break down broad market-entry opportunities into concrete, measurable, sequenced actions.
Analyze product and market performance, hypothesize, test, and continuously improve product metrics with a China-specific lens.
Develop product features from ideation to release, factoring in local payment methods, super-app integrations, and regulatory requirements specific to China.
Build and communicate a compelling vision and go-to-market strategy for Fever in China, gathering internal support across the organization.
Serve as a cultural and market advisor to leadership on China-specific product, partnership, and localization decisions.
Basic skills and qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of relevant experience in product management.
Native or native-level proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, and high proficiency in business English (both mandatory).
Deep, lived familiarity with the Chinese digital ecosystem and consumer behavior (see below).
Proven experience managing ambiguity, complexity, and interdependencies within a product development cycle.
Experience working closely with engineering and design teams, providing clear feedback across cultural and linguistic contexts.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, the ability to derive conclusions from data and clearly communicate findings is critical.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects from concept to completion.
Curiosity and desire to learn, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and markets.
High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive, in a fast-paced environment.
Persistence and a whatever-it-takes approach to ensure your product and team succeed.
Preferred skills and qualifications — China market expertise
Direct personal or professional experience with the Chinese super-app ecosystem (WeChat, Alipay Mini Programs) and what it takes to build or integrate within it.
Familiarity with Chinese payment rails (WeChat Pay, Alipay, UnionPay) and their implications for product and checkout design.
Understanding of the competitive landscape for ticketing, OTA, and entertainment discovery in China (e.g., Damai, Maoyan, Meituan, Dianping, Trip.com/Fliggy, Douyin/TikTok's local commerce features).
Awareness of live-streaming and social commerce dynamics (Douyin, Taobao Live, Xiaohongshu/RED) and their role in event discovery and marketing.
Knowledge of China-specific regulatory and compliance considerations relevant to ticketing and live events, including real-name registration requirements, ID verification, and anti-scalping ("huangniu") measures.
Familiarity with China's data protection framework (PIPL) and its implications for cross-border data handling and product architecture.
Experience navigating KOL/KOC-driven marketing and its interplay with product features (referrals, social sharing, group-buying/pintuan mechanics).
Technically fluent; comfortable discussing architectural trade-offs with engineering, especially where China-specific infrastructure (local hosting, ICP licensing, mini-program constraints) is involved.
Experience in tech startups, ideally with exposure to cross-border or market-entry product work.
Strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to define a winning market-entry strategy from limited initial data.
Ability to earn trust across different levels and multiple groups of a large, culturally diverse organization.
Proven experience hypothesizing, building lean validations, running A/B tests, and defining metrics tailored to a new market.
