Supervisory Police Officer (Desk Sergeant)

Provides assistance to visitors and complainants in accordance with established police/security procedures.

Prepares police/security reports and blotter entries in accordance with established standards.

Communicates instructions to personnel in accordance with established procedures.

Operates police/security desk systems in accordance with established procedures.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying law enforcement and security procedures to respond to incidents and inquiries; reviewing official reports for accuracy and completeness; operating communications and security systems; maintaining accurate event records; and providing guidance to personnel on established procedures.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
