POLICE OFFICER

You will perform anti-terrorism duties to deter, detect, or deny unauthorized access.

You will conduct preliminary investigations of critical incidents (e.g., traffic accidents, domestic violence, fights, assaults, child abuse or neglect).

You will perform lifesaving first aid in the event of an emergency as the first responder to an incident.

You will respond to and investigate complaints while enforcing state and federal laws and regulations.

You will perform a full range of force protection, anti-terrorism and sentry duties at installations or activities with significant operational assets, unrestricted access points, and large populations.

You will use computer equipment and specialized web-based law enforcement programs to fuse intelligence and establish, update, query or print individual or vehicle registration and other law enforcement sensitive information.

For GS 07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS 06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing investigations into unusual situations and legal violations to ensure public safety and regulatory compliance. Experience conducting checkpoints and roadblocks at strategic locations to deter and reduce criminal activity.

Experience inspecting packages and personal belongings to control access and secure restricted or sensitive areas. Experience responding to emergency calls for service while strictly adhering to all state and federal law enforcement protocols.

For GS 06 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS 05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience issuing citations for law enforcement violations and maintaining accurate legal documentation. Experience conducting investigations into critical incidents, including traffic accidents, domestic violence, and assaults, per established policies.

Experience interviewing witnesses to gather evidence, secure statements, and document incident details. Experience conducting vehicle inspections to detect contraband, weapons, explosives, or unauthorized removal of classified/government property.

Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy.

"Agreement to Continue in Service - CSA, Agency requires 36 months of continued employment after the completion of required training from the FLETC in accordance with Title 5 USC 4108 and 5 CFR410.309.

Failure to voluntary complete length of employment requirement can subject employee to reimburse to the agency for fees, such as tuition and related fees, travel, and other special expenses (excluding salary) paid in connection with the training.
