We are looking for a highly motivated PhD candidate to join an SNSF-funded research project investigating the environmental-driven mechanisms that protect against allergic diseases. The project is embedded within the PASTURE birth cohort, one of Europe's leading longitudinal studies on environmental determinants of allergy.
Using unique clinical data and biological samples collected from birth to adolescence, we aim to identify how environmental exposures shape immune development and protect against asthma and allergic rhinitis.
The project combines epidemiology with state-of-the-art omics-technologies, including transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, immunophenotyping, and single-cell analyses.
**What you can expect**
* Perform laboratory analyses using modern multi-omics technologies with large amount of samples
* Analyze longitudinal clinical and molecular datasets
* Apply statistical and bioinformatic methods
* Publish your research in international journals
* Present your work at national and international conferences
* Collaborate within an interdisciplinary and international research team
**Your Profile**
* Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Medicine, Bioinformatics or a related field
* Strong interest in immunology, allergy, or epidemiological research
* Excellent analytical and communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent written and spoken English
* Experience with molecular biology, bioinformatics, or programming (R/Python) is an advantage but not required
