You will perform physical therapy professional duties with an advanced practical knowledge of physical therapy skills, evidence-based practice, data collection, and reporting as part of the STRIKE team.

You will utilize physical performance measures to provide objective data and outcomes with activity/task performance.

You will provide nutrition, physical therapy, occupational therapy, cognitive performance, and strength and conditioning sufficient to meet Sailor readiness needs in varied operational environments worldwide.

You will focus on: sports medicine, physical training, performance nutrition, psychological health, transitional case management, and spiritual health services.

You will apply concepts, principles, and methodologies of the allied health field (Dietetics and Nutrition) sufficient to serve as a recognized FRP expert and program authority.

You will develop individualized short and long-term rehabilitation treatment plans for a wide variety of issues such as cerebral vascular accidents; spinal cord injuries; neurological issues; traumatic head injuries.

You will devise or adapt equipment to carry out treatment with severely disabled patients; and employ unusual motivational techniques to obtain the participation of the patients during treatment.

You will serve as technical expert in development and interpretation of professional guidelines to EODGRU 2 senior staff for all STRIKE personnel.

You will provide guidance and mentorship to staff therapists, athletic trainers and other STRIKE staff in applying current knowledge to the tactical outpatient setting.

You will design individual treatment plans to meet service member /clinical objectives to maximize restoration of physical, functional and occupational capabilities.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing new policies and regulations for the administration of all STRIKE programs, curriculum, and services.

Experience performing a wide range of complex physical therapy duties requiring a mastery level practical knowledge of physical therapy, evidence-based medicine, and data collection. Experience providing evaluation and therapeutic interventions to a full range of wounded, ill, and injured service members.

Experience developing and implementing complex, goal-oriented treatment plans for patients presenting with a multiplicity of dysfunction and impairments in physical, functional and adaptive areas such as gait, functional daily activities, physical readiness training, conditioning, injury prevention, human performance optimization, pain impairments, and concomitant behavioral health disorders.

Experience Identifying, developing, and implementing predictive and reactive changes to STRIKE programming curriculum to facilitate EODGRU 2 force resiliency and retention in varying operational tempos.

Experience developing appropriate evaluation, treatment plans, and recommendations regarding physical requirements, reconditioning, function, fitness, and goals for retention.

Experience Integrating rehabilitative care with embedded psychological health team, orthopedic surgeon and transitions rehabilitative care to Athletic Training and Strength and Conditioning realms from acute or chronic injury, through return to full duty operations of high functioning Special Operations service members.

Experience delivering advanced orthopedic physical therapy across tactical and sports setting, liaising with Readiness and Training (N7) and Medical (N9) to seamlessly transition and co-ordinate force readiness and clinical care between these settings.
