Job purpose / Objective: The purpose of this position is to Lead & steer deployment of plant / business strategy, fulfill customer expectations, promote business development, Oversee regulatory compliance, build conducive work environment, synergize with internal & external stakeholder to achieve functional excellence & economic success across the value stream(s).

Primary responsibility

Leadership

Leads and steers the Value stream leads, manufacturing planning & execution teams to collaborate, create ownership and accountability together with the cross functional teams and stakeholders to achieve functional excellence as well as the customer satisfaction and economic success.

Business Results: PPC, VA and Customer results (CSI) (qualitative/quantitative measure)

Strategy Management

Contribute to shape Plant/rBU/IPN Strategy, oversee its deployment and implementation while outlining clear purpose and mission to deliver and enhance value for customers. Establish and implement long-mid-short term plans for progressively developing manufacturing capabilities, including EWB.

New Business, Additional Volumes

Functional Excellence

Establish an environment to generate innovative practices by adopting new technology, modern practices, digital transformation, Agile, etc to develop a competitive advantage. Promote evaluation of operational processes & performances with relevant benchmarks to raise efficiency & effectiveness.

Maturity levels, across levels, value streams KPIs (Productivity, SQCD targets, OEE, etc.)

Administration & Governance

Monitor processes, oversee execution and adherence to regulatory compliance, organisational guidelines, operational safety, quality assurance, cost control, business process & projects in the value stream(s). Adherence to compliance in Internal and External Audits

Employee Experience & Industrial Relations

Establish proactive communication & engagement with the value stream & CFT members to build a conducive work environment & bring out their best efforts. Oversee process to communicate, engage and manage IR with labour union to promote transparency, trust, morale and avoid escalation of grievances or disputes. Employee Engagement Score

Networking & Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain a dialogue with stakeholders to develop business processes synergies. Monitor and review feedbacks, to create opportunities and enhance value. Monitor and facilitate operations/negotiate with IPN plants as per BU strategy to promote benchmarking and achieve Operational excellence.

ICSS: Internal Customer Satisfaction

Business Continuity Management

Review process to identify, assess and manage risks to business operations. Monitor and steer measures to mitigate risks as well as develop opportunities to reinforce business continuity

Knowledge & Competence Management

Monitor current and future capabilities & capacities for sustaining and improving manufacturing effectiveness, establish development areas, initiate opportunities & resources to support people mobility and manufacturing agility. Availability of talent pipeline and sustenance of functional efficiency

Education

* B.Tech./B.E. (Industrial Engineering/Mechanical/Automobile/Electrical/Electronics)

* MBA / Post Graduate Diploma in Management (desirable),

Experience

*15+ years of experience in manufacturing relevant fields

* 10+ years in manufacturing domain

Knowledge

* Proficient in Leadership, Business, People & Operations Management. * Competent in Regulatory & Organizational Management systems & guidelines. * Competent in Lean management tools, IT tools, Business (cost structures) & manufacturing practices. * Competent knowledge on manufacturing processes and quality management systems. * Advanced knowledge of related Product & application. * Basic overview of Data analytics & i4.0 solutions

Functional skills

* Proficient skills in Conflict management, collaboration and motivation, IR and HR practices. * Advanced skill in using problem solving methods like 8D, Shainin, Fault tree analysis. * Proficient in formal/informal interpersonal, coaching and communication skills. * Advanced skill in emerging practices like agile methodology. * Advanced skill in customer orientation & stake holder management.
