As a Senior Market Research Analyst, you will: Provide advice and counsel to management and client organizations. Quantitatively analyzes impacts of policy and changes to policy.

Develop critical decision-making tools formulated in spreadsheets and databases or any other form of integrated software for modeling of physical and financial commodity markets; natural gas, coal and power, to maximize the risk adjusted value of the polices and strategies effecting the market if implemented.

Develop critical decision-making tools formulated in spreadsheets and databases or any other form of integrated software for modeling of physical and financial commodity markets; natural gas, coal and power, to maximize the risk adjusted value of the polices and strategies effecting the market if implemented.

Develop, implement and maintain measurement tools to capture financial benefits and operational issues such as load, resource, fuel, transportation, storage, transmission and schedule interruptions with counterparties to fulfill the Transmission requirements to meet customers' requirements.

Develop, implement and maintain valuation parameters to capture financial benefits and operational issues such as volatilities and correlations in respect to transmission usage and revenue forecasting.

Guide continued maturation of analytic capabilities by identifying and acquiring new data sources, and through implementation of new tools and skills.

BASIC REQUIREMENT: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [enter grade] in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Participating in analytical work that involves designing, developing, adapting, and applying mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques to identify, model, and track transmission system utilization and market fundamentals.

"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
