Serving as the Deputy and "alter ego" to the Director, fully participating in managing all aspects of the organization.
Coordinating the resources required to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective accomplishments of the Division’s functional responsibilities.
Serving as a technical expert/resource to leadership, as well as other internal/external stakeholders, on issues related to the design, implementation, and operations for tests of innovative payment, benefit and delivery models in Medicare Part C.
Managing technically complex projects and initiatives and managing the development and implementation of project plans.
Managing staff-level work associated with managing the design and development, implementation, operation, and monitoring of models related to health plan innovation programs.

Possess a degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR B. Possess a combination of education and experience that provides you with the knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR C.
Possess four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
Minimum Qualifications, GS-14: In addition to the mandatory education described above under Basic Requirements applicants must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: (1) Managing staff who develop health care and payment policies for models affecting Medicare Advantage beneficiaries; (2) Directing projects aligned with an agency's mission and organizational goals; AND (3) Testing models to enhance Medicare Advantage policy and operations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
