Job Summary
Our premier destination marketing solutions power 1,000 destinations across the globe, including small towns, big cities and various types of venues. Those destinations use our CRM, web content management systems, and digital marketing services to attract tourists, conventions, and sporting events.
The Destination Insights team works with Destination Marketing Organizations (DMO’s) and Convention and Visitor Bureaus (CVB’s) across the US and beyond to provide solutions to help them generate more interest and ultimately visitors to their market.
We provide both technology products and strategic solutions in a consultative way to maximize the clients’ understanding and the solutions’ impact.
The position will work with Granicus destination clients doing analysis of marketing and sales efforts, destination insights and economic impacts, research interpretation, reports, and presentations.
It will be critical for this position to understand, evaluate and utilize data/insights from various sources (including online analytical tools) that will contribute to strategies and actionable items that will create ROI and deliver on the mission of generating tourism and lodging revenue for our clients.
The ideal candidate will be resourceful, flexible with requests, enjoys solving problems and is effective at managing relationships and communicating.
We're looking for a mix of analytical and consultative skills – someone who can work with clients to identify solutions to sales and marketing problems and then develop those solutions; someone who fully understands the value proposition of leveraging data and insights, and who has the creativity to develop unique analytical approaches to problems when required.
Additionally, this person will work with our product team in contributing to analytical solutions within analytical software solutions Granicus currently has or will develop in the future.
What Your Impact Will Look Like
Develop analytical studies and solutions to increase effectiveness of meeting sales and marketing efforts, including customer targeting, customer segmentation, sales deployment, marketing optimization, marketing ROI measurement.
Consult heavily with business users to ensure that analytical solutions are tailored to business needs and will support or result in actionable sales strategies; participate in a consultative role in implementing solutions.
Consistently lead, produce results and manage scope for simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment with on-time, on-track, and on-budget deliverables
Interpret data, write reports, develop presentations, and make actionable recommendations
Use information design concepts and principles to create effective presentations and other visuals that convey analytical results clearly and effectively, and subsequently present results to clients.
Develop presentations and reports that convey complex data in an easily understandable format.
Work with customers to maximize value of Granicus ’ sales technology solutions, including Mint+ and FuturePace
Analyze industry trends and possible correlations between overall destination visitation and hotel/convention business
Solicit customer feedback on technology solutions to provide input to Granicus product team on technology enhancements and new product development
Directly ensure quality assurance of project deliverables including strategies, messaging, reporting, dashboarding and presentations for all client projects.
Approximately 30 percent of this position involves client interaction, 40 percent involves data analysis, and 30 percent involves working with internal Granicus team members
You Will Love This Job If You Have
Bachelor Arts or Bachelor Science preferred
5 - 8 years of related experience in data analysis and / or consulting
Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights effectively.
Ability to develop working relationships with clients
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel and similar platforms.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Other ideal qualifications include: Experience in the Tourism / Hospitality industry
Experience with hospitality technologies, particularly Simpleview CRM and event / meeting technology
