MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR

You will plan the use of workers, equipment, facilities, materials, and tools to accomplish preventive maintenance schedule, repair, and alterations operation for a variety of related work operations.

You will determine the number of types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects and reschedule work to accommodate emergency service requests.

You will review new work orders and determine labor-hours, material, equipment, and tool requirements; and makes assignments of workers to projects based on type and difficulty of work and skills required.

You will review completed work to assure overall quality and production standards are met. Implement corrective action within the scope of authority to resolve work problems.

You will provide input and recommendations for incorporation in position descriptions, sets performance standards, and training plans.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
