Tailored Vendor Logistics Specialist

Conducts briefings/presentations of customer data as it relates to DLA goods and services.

Coordinates with Customer Account Specialists and Tailored Vendor Logistics Specialists from other CRM Cells/Support Teams.

Intervenes on the customers' behalf working with the Acquisition Specialist to resolve issues relating to the return of excess material to the vendor and/or coordinates with the Supply Planner on requests for the return of excess material to DLA.

Accesses information relating to material, finance data, vendor data to include File Transfer Protocol (FTP) transactions, as appropriate, vendor invoices, vendor payments, and customer collections to assist with issue resolution.

In conjunction with the Supplier Relationship Manager and the Customer Account Manager, determines the level of collaboration to be pursued with each collaborative partner.

Studies existing policies, practices, procedures, and measurement techniques pertaining to customer services to identify, develop, and recommend process improvements.

To qualify for a TAILORED VENDOR LOGISTICS SPECIALIST, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: Recommending adjustments to meet customer demands and providing adequate oversight, and ensuring procedures are in-place to manually create orders submitted via phone or fax, and for orders submitted via the web.

Supporting readiness and contingency efforts and providing responsive emergency support to customers; determining and acting on the most expeditious means of supporting a customer's emergency order; and coordinating the action with the customer and other personnel.

Investigating situations in which unique aspects of customer support are not adequately addressed in established guidelines and working with the management/other collaborators to determine whether these warrant changes to established policies and procedures.

Preparing briefing materials including background information, recommendations, statistical data, charts and graphs, as well as preparing detailed written reports containing concise findings and practical recommendations for customer service and objectives.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.

If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for early intervention services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.

Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
