The posting
Provides technician support by performing direct public services, registers patrons, charges/discharges materials, assists with interlibrary loans, shelves library materials, answers basic reference questions, and assist customers.
Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories.
Performs simple maintenance on the library's automated systems.
Performs physical exertion such as long periods of standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, pushing of loaded trucks; and recurring lifting of heavy items such as boxes of books or journals.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade OR Two years of education above high school OR A combination of specialized experience and education that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements.
