Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to join our growing legal team in Amsterdam.
In this role, you will work closely with and provide support to the Legal Counsel and the Global General Counsel in Amsterdam, and will partner with internal departments across the business to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice, ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Contract Management: Manage the full contract lifecycle - drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements - while maintaining the contract database and tracking key deadlines, renewals, and terminations.
Risk & Advisory: Identify and flag legal and contractual risks to internal stakeholders, providing practical, business-minded recommendations.
Research: Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to support decision-making.
Compliance Support: Assist in ensuring the company complies with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Coordination: Liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies as needed.
Legal Support: Provide day-to-day support to the Legal Counsel and Global General Counsel on legal matters, projects, and ad hoc requests.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of legal files, agreements, and other documentation.
Policy Assistance: Support the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures.
Cross-Border Matters: Support legal matters across multiple jurisdictions, given UNS's international footprint.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a Legal Counsel or paralegal role, preferably in a corporate or international environment.
Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts..
Strong understanding of legal terminology and processes.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proactive and hands-on approach to work, with the ability to manage tasks effectively and provide sound legal advice independently.
Agility and quick adaptability, coupled with a strong desire for continuous learning and development, are essential traits.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Languages: Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a plus.
