Position: In-House Counsel (Japan)

Type: Contract

Compensation: $140–$150/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: ~10 hours

Role Responsibilities

Evaluate AI-generated responses on Japanese law by running prompts through two AI (LLM) platforms .

Compare outputs from both platforms and score them against a standardized rubric .

Submit concise written feedback for every evaluation to improve AI model performance .

Work independently to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality evaluations.

Maintain confidentiality as all work is covered by NDA .

Qualifications

Must-Have

5+ years as in-house legal counsel practicing in Japan .

Strong command of Japanese law , especially commercial and contract matters.

Sharp attention to detail and precise written communication.

Able to work independently to a rubric and to deadlines.
