Key Responsibilities
This role requires you to be a key business partner to ensure compliance within the regulatory and organizational framework while meeting the organizations corporate and commercial objectives. In particular, you will:-
Provide accurate, prompt and robust commercial legal advice to the Business Units and on mergers and acquisitions while ensuring legal risks are identified and managed.
Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and be involved in negotiating critical agreements.
Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial and operational contracts, including employment related contracts.
Have a strong litigation background with the ability to devise defensive and proactive strategies as well as experience in resolving claims matters efficiently.
Instruct and manage external lawyers and legal costs.
Provide legal training and updates on new laws and regulations in accordance with the business needs.
Key Requirements
A recognized law degree, including from Singapore, The United Kingdom or Australia with 5 years post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm and/or in an in-house position in a corporation.
Qualified to practice law in Thailand.
A strong corporate and commercial background with experience in handling procurement, licensing matters, employment matters, and disputes.
Strong interpersonal communication and management skills as the role will involve close interaction with Management, business units, and the regional legal team.
Sound commercial sense and critical thinking skills, a proactive practical approach, and the ability to manage a range of issues involving multiple areas of law are critical traits necessary for this role.
Mature, analytical, self-driven and a team player.
