IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS)

As an IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS) at the GS-2210-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Acts as deputy to the Chief of Engineering by supporting technical prioritizations, engineering planning, project coordination, schedule awareness, and risk identification for assigned initiatives.

Provides technical guidance on the software development lifecycle (SDLC), application modernization, secure coding practices, testing strategies, configuration management, and integration with legacy and modern platforms. Provides senior technical coordination and review for enterprise network engineering activities supporting DARPA operations.

Engages in the process of technical strategy, design review, and engineering coordination for cloud, hybrid infrastructure, platform services, and enterprise systems. Provides recommendations on modernization options, technical debt reduction, infrastructure automation, system integration, and operational sustainment approaches.

Supports engineering evaluation and integration planning for AI/ML- enabled capabilities, data services, workflow automation, and emerging technology pilots. Provides technical input to acquisition planning, statements of work, technical evaluation criteria, task planning, and contractor performance discussions.

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Skill in applying modern IT concepts, principles, methodologies, frameworks, and practices in system analysis, systems development, software engineering, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, network engineering, cybersecurity-informed engineering, DevSecOps, and automation sufficient to identify technical risks.

Experience assessing technical design to recommend improvements in one or more areas such as cloud architecture, enterprise infrastructure, network connectivity and routing and segmentation. Experience evaluating AI/ML and emerging technology concepts to determine data dependencies and assess risk.

Experience preparing technical recommendations and communicating technical concepts to senior leaders and stakeholders.
