The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person. Contributes to modernization efforts, including strategy, technology and security review, and adopting and ensuring target state architecture is up to date for the agency.
Serving as the Product Owner directing the vision, design, development and maintenance of the Global EA Repository Services (GEARS), Configuration Management Database (CMBD) and the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool using Power Platform and Azure Dataverse.
Planing, organizing, and overseeing all activities of the Division including developing goals objectives, serving as Budget Organization Manager or Delegate.
Planning, organizing and overseeing all activities including documentation for EA for all IT components, all IT and Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance, all EA tools including the EA SharePoint site, GEARS, CMDB, Agile Tool, currently Rally, AI Hub, SAM, Master List, Technical Catalog, Guardrails, and Technical Journey publication.
Providing cybersecurity governance and compliance for all EA applications in conjunction with the ISSO responsibilities.
You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement.
OPM Qualifications Standards are available at Competency-Based Qualification Standard for the Information Technology Management Series, 2210 Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.
To be creditable, you must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to GS-15 in the Federal service: For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-14.
Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience advising on IT program areas involving the planning, design, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of information systems including on premise, AWS and Azure environments; AND Experience managing an Enterprise Architecture (EA) Repository and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) software, Agile and Software Asset Management (SAM) tools; AND Experience in the design, development and delivery of applications on Azure Cloud using Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse; AND Experience establishing policies, procedures, guardrails, and technical catalogs for OCIO-delivered IT products and technologies including oversight of Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance; AND Experience serving as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for a production system.
