Serves in the NGIC Cybersecurity Office as the senior technical advisor for cybersecurity architecture supporting the IT Directorate, providing expert advice and recommendations to senior leadership and engineering teams.
Directly supports system and software development teams and advises on cyber architecture concerns and mitigations throughout the development lifecycles of a broad portfolio of systems and networks.
Leads the design, development and integration with cross-organizational cybersecurity architectures such as Zero-Trust Architecture (ZTA) initiatives, translating technology and regulatory requirements into security designs and processes.
Authors comprehensive technical security architecture design documentation in accordance with established Engineering and Architectural frameworks, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to senior leadership and technical peers.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).
Specialized experience for this position provides technical guidance on cybersecurity architecture to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of complex IT systems to include on-premises and cloud infrastructures AND Implements architectural and engineering methodologies and serves as cybersecurity technical advisor to multiple Agile development teams across a diverse portfolio AND Able to communicate architectural design requirements to engineering teams responsible for delivering the solution AND Ensures developed architectures comply with information security policies, regulations and industry best practices throughout the system development lifecycle.
