IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

You will ensure all systems security operations and maintenance activities are properly documented and updated as necessary.

You will monitor and assesses computing environments for compliance in accordance with cybersecurity, vulnerability, and privacy requirements and practices.

You will report directly to and supports the SCSTC Information Systems Security Manager in the execution and administration of DON/ NETC/SCSTC Cybersecurity program.

You will verify and update security documentation reflecting the application/system security design features.

You will provide advice and input for Disaster Recovery, Contingency, and Continuity of Operations Plans.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, implementing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security documentation for various computing environments (including network-based and air gapped systems.

Monitoring and assessing computing environments to ensure compliance with cybersecurity, vulnerability, privacy, and configuration management requirements. Developing Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages and executing Information System risk assessments during the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process.

Assessing the effectiveness of security controls, mitigating identified security deficiencies, and recommending risk acceptance actions to senior leadership. Providing technical guidance and training on system security policies, continuous monitoring and A&A package requirements.
