You will serve as a senior technical specialist for Information Management (IM) and IT activities governing the policy, planning and delivery of IT Infrastructure services and design.
You will determine gaps between current and target architecture and develop plans for transitioning to the target architecture.
You will provide technical advice and guidance to agency personnel on IT systems, databases, and interfaces including Information Technical Item Management and Procurement (ITIMP), and Nuclear Reactors Information Management System (NRIMS).
You will perform studies to determine the efficiency of IT programs and procedures involved in supply support efforts.
You will oversee the implementation of Agile Development for IT system modernization efforts.
You will establish program test operation criteria and develop recommended program implementation schedules and monitor plans.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. One year of experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1.

Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3.
Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4.
Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to experience demonstrating the four competencies above, one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a wide range of IT methods and technologies, including data mining, storage, warehousing, modeling, database management, operating systems, and network topology.
Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Demonstrating knowledge of corporate IT architecture, infrastructure design, and the software development lifecycle; 2) Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of IT policy, data processing standards, and current trends to develop accurate business requirements and ensure compliance; 3) Finding practical and creative solutions for functional and technical problems, particularly when objectives are unclear or when applying new technologies; 4) Communicating technical ideas and concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including peers and stakeholders.
