IT Specialist (DATAMGT/INFOSEC)

The duties and responsibilities for a IT Specialist (DATAMGT/INFOSEC) GS-2210-13 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Develops and implements automated SharePoint workflows and information-routing processes to improve the collection, review, approval, and management of IT portfolio and capital planning information.

Evaluates enterprise IT processes, procedures, investments, and project data to assess program performance, cost efficiency, technical progress, and alignment with organizational objectives.

Develops risk mitigation strategies, technical recommendations, business cases, and resource requirements to address project deficiencies and support enterprise IT modernization initiatives.

Provides technical oversight and analytical support for IT contracts by evaluating vendor deliverables, technical documentation, software development activities, cloud modernization efforts, and procurement milestones against established requirements.

Develops automated methods for tracking project performance, compliance requirements, security controls, milestones, and remediation activities across enterprise IT initiatives.

To qualify for the position of IT Specialist (DATAMGT/INFOSEC), at GS-2210-13, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below. Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions.

AND Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-13 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience.

Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties: Designs, develops, and/or administers customized Microsoft Power BI dashboard and reports, Sharepoint environments, including site architectures, data structures, forms, web parts, metadata, and/or automated workflows.
