You will coordinate IT requirements with the NMCI NGEN vendor as well as the command’s and NMCI’s information security professionals.
You will prepare appropriate documentation for transfer of any command IT property, including the collection, documentation and destructions of hard drives and other data storage media to comply with existing security guidance.
You will validate work completed for assigned areas using the pre-invoice process or full payment process validation checklist and forwards documentation to division point of contact for review.
You will aid the end users of enterprise IT services and accounts as well as the skills to identify and resolve issues related to IT security, as well as to correct problematic trends.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Designs, develops, and maintains IT asset tracking systems, data models, and databases that directly support the diagnosis, management, and resolution of technical service requests for the organization and its customers. 2.Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provides technical support to NEN customers by diagnosing and resolving IT problems associated with computing asset delivery, software configuration, hardware deployment, and network connectivity. 3.Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, considering the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Modify established IT procedures and policies in response to new regulations, directives, and other guidance affecting the IT program. 4.
Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Analyzes recurring technical issues and service request patterns to identify trends, recommend preventive measures, and improve the efficiency of service delivery to customers.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve a variety of technical IT problems and monitor performance to ensure quality services are provided and maintained; 2) Monitor hardware, software, and account services for compliance with various standards; 3) Correct problematic trends and patterns, and evaluate methods to remediate local and enterprise technical problems; and 4) Convey information clearly and persuasively in writing for the intended audience.
