IT SPECIALIST (APPSW)

Creates and maintains enterprise applications using a full-stack skill-set across multiple development platforms, frameworks, and programming languages as needed.

Generates new or modifies existing programs using high-level programming and database languages. Writes, compiles, debugs, tests, and implements program code.

Performs system studies of current and future systems to evaluate their effectiveness in accomplishing the Human Resources Command (HRC) mission.

Provides technical guidance to functional users on the formulation of system requirements, advising on alternate approaches and suggesting modifications.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Computing architectures and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities; designing information management systems; and analyzing system process changes resulting from policy decisions Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
