EXTERIOR / INTERIOR DESIGNER M/F (1fte)

Tasks & Offer

Being an exterior / interior designer at Omega Architects, you assist our senior designers to develop exterior and interior designs in 3D. You will assist in the total spiral of design, consisting of 3 different design stages. Our scope of supply has to be matched constantly with the principals set of requirements.

You will assist in the conceptual (first) design stage and tailor our standard scope of supply to the specific requirements of each specific design commission for the following 2 stages.

Therefore, among your responsibilities is our communication with principals and third parties.

Your responsibility as a team member also requires updating your project presentations, for both internal use as well as for our principals. You will update the particular data of the project.

You will research design trends and keep track of publications about yacht design. In many cases, your research will be tailored to our design commissions, in order to advise the senior yacht designer. You will define and update a plan of training and education in order to improve your skills, amongst the available skills of the team.

Required qualifications

Applicable education like a Bachelor or Master’s degree in yacht design, interior design or naval architecture.
A background in a yacht design agency or ship building industry.
The ambition to optimize the expertise of our exterior design team.
Good 3D hand sketching skills
Good communicative skills in English (Dutch is a plus), both written and spoken.
Living in -or willing to relocate to Netherlands.
Valid EU work permit required

Skills

3D visualization, Rhinoceros and 3DSMax.
AutoCAD
Photoshop and other Adobe applications.

Our offer

A fulltime (40 hrs) job in our team;
A salary depending on your education and experience, paid according to the Collective Employment Agreement (CAO) for Architectural firms and APA system.
