About the role
This role leads the growth function for Careem Food in Dubai and, by extension, UAE. The Manager owns bottom-up planning, tracks performance against plan, designs and program manages growth initiatives, and ensures cross-functional alignment. This person is the primary bridge between the growth team and the commercial organisation, with direct accountability for ensuring Food hits its revenue targets in the market.
What you’ll do
Growth Planning & Bottom-Up Strategy
Own the bottom-up growth plan for Dubai/UAE – translating market opportunity into measurable targets across MAUs, OPU, ARPU, and revenue.
Build and maintain the quarterly and annual growth roadmap, ensuring tight alignment with organisational revenue goals.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
Own the performance rhythm for Dubai/UAE: weekly/monthly plan vs. actuals reviews, funnel health checks, and initiative-level tracking.
Build and maintain dashboards that surface the health of key growth metrics across the customer funnel.
Proactively diagnose gaps vs. plan, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions at pace.
Commercial Partnership & Revenue Accountability
Act as the primary growth point of contact for the Food commercial team – ensuring growth and commercial plans are tightly integrated.
Co-own revenue target delivery with the commercial team; design offers, incentives, and promotions that balance growth outcomes with unit economics.
Initiative Design & Execution
Design growth initiatives end-to-end across user acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetisation.
Lead A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to iterate and optimize initiatives across channels.
Program Management
Own the execution cadence for the Dubai/UAE growth portfolio: scoping, resourcing, launch timelines, and post-launch measurement.
Ensure initiatives are delivered on time with clear owners, milestones, and success metrics.
Manage cross-team dependencies and proactively escalate blockers to leadership.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management
Align Product, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing around the Dubai/UAE growth agenda.
Communicate growth performance and strategy clearly to senior stakeholders and leadership.
Customer Segmentation & Lifecycle Management
Build and manage customer segments using behavioural, demographic, and transactional data.
Design targeted retention and engagement programmes using cohort analysis and lifecycle insights.
What you’ll need
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
5-7 years of experience in growth, product marketing, or strategy – with a focus on e-commerce, food delivery, or consumer tech platforms
Proven track record of owning growth plans and delivering against revenue or engagement targets
Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives across product, engineering, and commercial teams
Prior experience in a high-growth, fast-paced market environment; MENA experience a strong plus
Strong analytical skills – data mining, statistical modelling, SQL
Deep understanding of A/B testing, cohort analysis, churn/attrition modelling, and CLTV
Proficiency in growth metrics: CAC, LTV, ARPU, OPU, conversion rates – Excellent program management skills – structured, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple workstreams
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills – able to drive outcomes without direct authority
Clear, concise communicator – comfortable in senior stakeholder reviews and cross-functional forums
Deep understanding of food delivery market dynamics, customer behaviour, and the competitive landscape
