Nearshore Sector | React developer

We are currently looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer to join Devoteam Portugal's Nearshore team, working directly with an international client based in the UK within the Tech-led Facilities Management & Infrastructure Solutions sector. In this role, you will play a key part in defining front-end architecture and driving tech excellence. Job Description

Develop and maintain front-end applications using React.js

Ensure code quality through best practices, testing, and performance optimization

Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and services

Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and code reviews

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner

Stay up to date with the latest React.js trends and ecosystem updates

Lead architectural frontend decisions and mentor junior/mid-level engineers within the team

Minimum 6 years of experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on React.js

Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML, and CSS

Advanced experience with state management libraries (Redux, Context API, or similar)

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern front-end development tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.)

Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress

Experience with AWS services applied to frontend (S3, CloudFront, Lambda@Edge, etc.)

Proven ability to lead technical teams, run code reviews, and establish engineering standards

Experience with Git and version control workflows

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Fluent in English (written and spoken)
