As a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0501-07/09, you will process data and performs broad-in-depth financial analysis of interrelated accounting, military and civilian pay, accounts payable and receivable, and various travel entitlements to resolve especially difficult and sensitive, out-of-balance conditions associated with processing actions within Financial Management systems.

Analyzes and evaluates data to conduct a variety of fiscal reconciliations, reviews, and account adjustments. Reconcile Resource Center Manager (RCM) accounts ensuring data integrity. Coordinate with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) and posts validated accounts to the General Ledger. Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5 day workweek, then a 4 day workweek ( 8 nine-hour days and 1 eight-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80 hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have the following skills: Skill in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately;- Skill in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material;- Skill in presenting formal training presentations and briefings;- Ability to prepare reports and presentation formats SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS 07: Must have specialized experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, of basic knowledge of program analysis and practices, policies, functions, accounting, budgeting and resource management practice, and business financial management methods and procedures.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS 09: Must have specialized experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level with working knowledge of laws, DOD Directives, finance regulations and financial management and operating procedures relative to the entitlements and allowances related to the payment of military personnel, civilian personnel, vendors, and travelers.

Knowledge of the general ledger to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, and other accounts in support of various regulatory financial reports.
