You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.

You will be concerned with the performance of functions such as: formulation of budget and cost estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities.

You will include development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices.

You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations

You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets; and providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing Federal financial legislation, regulations, reports, and/or policies; recommending corrective action to internal accounting procedures of financial management systems; leading accountants and other financial support personnel.

Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=Group-Standards Desired Skills: - You will supervise the accounting staff in the performance of a variety of fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties, with an emphasis on DAI system data and processes. - Perform a variety of tasks in support of professional accounting to include establishing and maintaining reports for financial management activities in accordance with established accounting principles and policies. - Provide technical and administrative oversight, advice, and instruction. - Provide training to the accounting staff. - Assist in the professional development of subordinates. - Provide guidance and directions to command personnel as required under the accounting area of responsibility. - Oversee the time keeping for civilian workforce. - Maintain accurate civilian pay records and proper recording of work hours.
