Serves as Organizational Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA), Financial Defense Travel Administrator (FDTA) and is the subject matter expert for all things related to the Defense Travel System (DTS).
Incumbent monitors and evaluates budget execution for assigned programs and mission areas to ensure funds are executed in accordance with approved Command spend plans, operating budgets and other fiscal requirements
Incumbent reviews and implements SDDC budget guidance as applicable to facilitate development of both Brigade HQ and battalion level budgets for AOR.
Incumbent identifies problem areas, researches, determines, and implements corrective courses of action.
Incumbent advises GS Brigade Team Analyst of funding shortfalls and excess funds within assigned program areas that are available for reprogramming.
Incumbent analyzes and summarizes historical data to identify trends and to assess funding requirements.
Incumbent verifies and ensures requirements included in budgets are consistent with Command's mission and budget development requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1.) Prepares and manages a variety of reports covering the status of funds, expenses, and obligations. 2.) prepares Brigade and Battalion level budget spend plans and narrative documentation needed to facilitate Command budget preparation; and 3.) verifying compliance with travel policy; and providing all administrative setup functions necessary to use DTS.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
