In this role as a Financial Analyst - Municipal Securities, you will be responsible for: Serving as a financial analyst providing expert financial analysis for assigned area of responsibility. Drafting and producing research, and briefings based on relevant and insightful data.

Performing detailed and data-intensive analyses and research of the municipal securities market in response to complex and difficult questions related to municipal securities.

Conducting extensive analyses and reviews of industry, professional, academic information, and data to maintain up-to-date information concerning financial changes within the municipal securities industry. Reviewing policy proposals and making policy recommendations based on research and analysis.

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the minimum qualification requirement.

SK-14: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-13 level: Performing financial analysis to formulate and recommend courses of action on matters affecting municipal securities; AND Utilizing spreadsheets, databases, and statistical software to research and analyze entity data; AND Identifying and monitoring current trends in the municipal securities market.
