The posting
You will provide resources support with primary emphasis on financial management and planning.
You will lead a financial team of budget clerks, technicians, and/or analysts.
You will provide liaison between operating departments and the NAWC’s management on financial policies, procedures, and status of projects.
You will provide timely advice to department heads and their staffs on financial management and policy and on the legalities of the financial system.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03 (Equivalent to the GS-12 level) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Incorporating extensive knowledge of funding requirements, financial policy, and regulations to make determinations and perform/advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget and financial administration. 2) Utilizing in-depth working knowledge of the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) financial system and MS Office applications, including extracting, analyzing and interpreting business and financial reports. 3) Leading a team of subordinate employees, including workload management, resource management, employee development, recruiting and retention, delegation of duties, performance setting and evaluations, disciplinary measures as warranted, and administrative functions. 4) Facilitating development, modification, and gathering of employee and customer workload requirements to ensure successful employee development and customer satisfaction for current and future requirements; 5) Incorporating an in-depth understanding of labor rates used to formulate budgets and support plan, providing defense of budgets and expenses to authorities, including participation in extensive midyear, quarterly and/or monthly reviews to Comptroller, Senior Executive and/or Headquarters level customers.
