Ensure enterprise-level management controls governing financial transactions and reporting operate effectively across the Defense Health Program (DHP) and Medicare-Eligible Retiree Health Care Fund (MERHCF).

Coordinate with financial reporting components to ensure required audit trail exists per required regulations and Defense Health Agency (DHA) guidance.

Develop and implement DHA-wide financial management policies, internal control frameworks, and governance standards impacting enterprise operations.

Direct enterprise financial systems integration, ensuring compliance with federal financial management standards and resolving systemic deficiencies impacting auditability.

Evaluate DHA progress and assertion status as it related to financial systems.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing financial data, conducting audit readiness activities, utilizing financial management or accounting systems, and providing recommendations to management.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
