FACILITIES MANAGER

Prioritize engineering work request to deploy maintenance personnel based upon operational urgency.

Coordinate facility master planning to align organizational requirements with installation review board objectives.

Monitor budget expenditures to guarantee resource availability for unforeseen emergency repairs.

Review architectural blueprints to verify environmental compliance prior to project initiation.

Investigate workplace accidents to implement corrective measure resolving identified root causes.

Evaluate internal safety controls to assess organizational compliance against national protection standards.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes1.) directing facility engineering operations to execute preventive maintenance programs across large-scale building systems; 2.) overseeing construction projects by developing comprehensive scopes of work associated with cost estimates; 3.) evaluating contractor performance to ensure strict adherence to technical project specifications; AND 4.) administering occupational safety programs to enforce compliance with federal hazard mitigation regulations.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
