The posting

You will provide direct technical control over environmental mitigation projects.

You will provide guidance and interpretation of environmental engineering policy directives and programs, and serve as an environmental planning point of contact to ensure protection of human health and the environment.

You will conduct inspections to identify non-compliant pollution sources and determine whether non-compliance is indicative of enforcement problems or a need for improved pollution control design.

You will develop strategies to remove pollutants from discharge sources and to improve industrial processes and pollution control methods.

You will prepare the scope of work, funding requests, technical parameters, and operational requirements and arrange for contractors to conduct technical -engineering studies.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Preparing discharge and emissions reports, control inventories and modeling; assisting with or developing cost estimates and construction plans for various environmental projects; monitoring progress across multiple projects' life cycles to ensure maintenance of environmental compliance.
