For our Motion, Power, Sensing Division site based in Fribourg, we are currently looking for a

**Engineering Manager**

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and developing the engineering team dedicated to sensors and mechanical sub\-systems, with a strong focus on mechanical sensor design, micromechanics, product lifecycle management (PLM) implementation, and engineering process excellence.

**Your responsibilities**

• Lead and develop the Sensors Engineering team, including objectives, governance, competency development, talent management, and succession planning.

• Drive the development of sensor technologies and mechanical sub\-systems from research to product, ensuring delivery against market launch timing, development cost, recurring cost, quality, and technical performance targets.

• Lead PLM implementation and adoption, including engineering workflows, configuration management, change control, design release, documentation, and team training.

• Establish and improve engineering processes and standards, ensuring compliance with aerospace \& energy lifecycle processes, and internal procedures

• Provide technical leadership and cross\-functional support, reviewing solutions, risks, costs, and schedules while supporting Sales, Marketing, Product Management, customers, and senior leadership.

• Ensure lessons learned from projects are captured and integrated into future development processes

• Promote standard work and harmonized engineering methods across programs and product lines

• Lead or support engineering audits, design assurance reviews, and technical maturity assessments

• Contribute to the strategic technology roadmaps for new sensing \& monitoring technologies

**Your Profile**

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, Microsystems Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline…

• Solid experience implementing or deploying a PLM tool in an engineering or product development environment

• Significant experience in mechanical product development, ideally involving sensors, conditioners, micromechanics, precision mechanisms, or high\-reliability components

• Experience implementing engineering processes, standards, or development governance in an industrial environment

• Experience working in regulated or process\-driven industries such as aerospace or energy

• Strong project execution mindset with the ability to balance technical performance, cost, quality, and schedule

• Ability to review and challenge technical solutions, risks, costs, and development plans

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with engineering teams, senior leadership, customers, and cross\-functional stakeholders
