ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

You will be directly responsible for executing in-house electrical engineering design work products and services within specified milestones and quality standards.

You will be assigned projects of high complexity containing combinations of specialized features that require integrative design, innovation in solutions, and high level of engineering design experience and expertise.

You will participate on multi-disciplinary in-house (IH) design teams, executing IH projects as well as overseeing design efforts accomplished via Architectural/Engineering (A/E) firms.

You will coordinate the electrical engineering design with the architectural and engineering disciplines for Design-Bid-Build (DBB) and Design-Build (DB) projects to ensure overall compatibility and efficiency of the site and building design.

You will plan and lead project design conferences/work sessions and on-site Functional Analysis Concept Development (FACD) and/or charrettes with stakeholders to determine project requirements and to develop concept designs.

You will be responsible for tracking the progress of projects to ensure that they are kept within construction budgets and that the drawings and specifications are completed within allotted design schedules.

You will prepares correspondence, reports, economic analyses, written and oral presentations regarding architectural-related topics.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience in providing electrical engineering and design services for a broad range of facilities, ranging from administrative and housing facilities to very complex industrial and operational facilities; performing design analysis and calculations for electrical projects, preparing final detailed working drawings, cost analysis, requests for proposals, and project specifications; performing quality assurance reviews, and performing technical administration of design, design management, and coordination efforts with other engineers and architects involved in multi-discipline projects.
