Job Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer IV or Senior Electrical Engineer, you will interact with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members. You will be responsible for providing trade specific system design: layout (utilizing CAD/BIM); calculations (utilizing appropriate software); and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering / internal and external) under the guidance of more senior technical staff.

Additional responsibilities include

Creating basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer or Supervising Engineer.

Establishing basic system application, design, and operational parameters/sequences under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer or Supervising Engineer.

Participating in the QA/QC process for your work and the work of others as assigned

Assisting senior engineers and/or senior designers or Supervising Engineer in the on-going determination of project scheduling requirements, staffing requirements, and project budgets

Performing construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects including field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports

Supporting engineering senior or supervising staff in processing RFI’s, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the ability to use Revit for system layouts, spatial coordination, and the production of detailed drawings. Someone who possesses strong communication and organizational skills with the desire and ability to grow to a senior level or supervising level engineer role would be a good fit for this dynamic role.

Additional requirements include

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in an accredited University

Knowledge to read, review and evaluate floor plans, sections, and elevations and visualize three-dimensional space in building construction

REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP experience is a must

7+ years' experience or 8+ years working in a consulting firm and assisting with the design of electrical power systems

Basic understanding of proper system selection and applicable building codes

Understanding of the practical application of LEED principles to building designs

EIT credential required, PE required for Senior Engineer designation

The salary range listed below is for this particular job posting. Actual pay range for candidates will be commensurate with candidate’s experience, skillsets and competencies and may differ based on the cost of labor in their particular location.
