Infrastructure Engineer

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: December 31, 2026

Work Setup: Hybrid (2–3 days per week in office)

Clearance Required: Eligibility for BPSS

Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and automate AWS-based infrastructure supporting strategic data and analytics platforms. The role will focus on creating secure and scalable cloud environments, implementing security controls and developing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions to enable rapid and repeatable environment provisioning.

What you will do

Design, build and deploy AWS infrastructure environments to support platform and application workloads.

Configure core AWS services, networking, security groups, IAM roles, permissions and user authentication mechanisms.

Implement and maintain cloud security policies in line with enterprise security standards and best practices.

Develop and automate Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) scripts for environment provisioning and recreation.

Ensure infrastructure solutions remain scalable, resilient, secure and operationally efficient.

Collaborate with development, architecture and security teams to support platform deployments and ongoing enhancements.

Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud platform engineering.

Apply advanced knowledge of AWS IAM, Security Groups, VPCs, networking, authentication and access management.

Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar automation tools.

Possess a strong understanding of cloud security principles, governance and compliance controls.

Show experience automating infrastructure deployment, configuration and environment management.

Apply strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and operational support skills.

Meet the eligibility requirements for BPSS clearance.

Accept PAYE employment through an Umbrella company.
